D.O. Rias Baixas

Albariño

Ageing:
Stainless Steal

TASTING NOTES

This wine has a seductive perfume of citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel and white peach, with pronounced floral and almond notes. The grape's high extract carries these impressions onto a vivid palate which remains light, elegant and fresh. Mouth watering, this Albarino rounds out nicely with a long lingering finish.

Additional Information

Bodegas Robaliño was established in 1991, three years after the D.O. Rías Baixas was officially designated. Today there are 6,900 acres of vineyards and over 190 wineries in the region.

The base of the quality of the wine, it is the grape. In robaliño we only elaborate grape proceeding from our estate, it stamps an exclusive character. The estateis shaped in terraces protected by walls of stone hand placed, producing the effect of natural heat accumulator, detaching in the night the heat absorbed during the day, preventing vegetative stops and allowing an ideal and homogeneous ripeness.

Condado do Tea is the furthest inland and named after the river Tea, a tributary of the Miño. It’s a mountainous area that runs along the river with granite and slate soils.  It’s the warmest and driest of the sub-zones with temperatures that can easily top 100˚F in the summer.

Robaliño’s Albariño is harvested by hand. The grapes undergo a cold maceration prior to fermentation to extract a maximum of aroma and flavor. The wine is vinified at low temperatures to preserve acidity and aromas.
